We were excited to host Ally Moore from the Willamette Health Council (WHC) for a farm visit last week!

In a time when the market seems to be selling us everything with or “convenience”, we can’t help but notice what we are trading for this so called convenience. Our own food security, mental health and nutrition.

So lets push PAUSE on convenience and shout out the top 5 benefits to growing your own food.

This past week certainly had our community reeling didn’t it? For our kids, they seem shocked at the idea … one of the things we did while the power was out was make a list with the kids of everything that required electricity, and them we had them brainstorm with us a non-energy using replacement.

we are making an incredible impact on the environment with a drastic decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, fossil fuel consumption, and even energy usage.
