Sustainable communities measure progress by improvements in the health and wellbeing of their people, environment, and economy.

SLC is helping to protect the health and wellbeing of Department of Human Services’ front line staff by facilitating the creation of cloth masks they can use. These workers include front line child welfare professionals and food stamp eligibility staff that are working with some of our most vulnerable populations.  The Adult Protective Services Specialists who respond to allegations of elder abuse in the community and in care facilities are also in need of masks. By creating masks we can help them protect themselves and others.

Want to help? We are distributing kits that provide the materials and instructions to make 10 masks.
